Is it just you?
The live count for Eightcap is not loaded on this copy of the page yet. You can still report a problem — it is recorded straight away and shows up here shortly.
Eightcap in short
Eightcap publishes its whole group structure on its own site, which is more than most brokers do — and reading it is uncomfortable. Seven companies, three of them properly supervised, one of them holding no financial licence anywhere. The British arm is real and audited and began taking clients in February 2024, with net assets of £2.3m. This is a small, young, well-priced broker with a long offshore tail.
What is good
- 3 tier-1 licences that actually take retail clients — ASIC, FCA, CySEC
- A statutory compensation scheme in at least one jurisdiction — FSCS up to £85,000
- A swap-free account is available
- Funds and withdraws in crypto as well as by bank and card
- Three or more platforms, not just the house one — MT4, MT5, CTRADER
- Prices as an ECN rather than against you on a dealing desk
- Copy trading is built in rather than bolted on by a third party
- Publishes which company serves which country, so the map above can be checked
What it costs you
- Outside the countries the licensed entities name you sign with Eightcap Global Limited in The Bahamas — no compensation scheme
- The group includes a company with no financial licence anywhere (St Vincent & the Grenadines)
- A $100 minimum, above the $15 median here
- Publishes no audited group accounts
Both lists are generated from the record on this page and from how it compares with the other nine brokers here. Nothing on either side was written to be flattering, and a correction to the data rewrites them the same day.

What we checked on Eightcap
16 Sept 2026Eightcap publishes its whole group structure on its own site, which is more than most brokers do — and reading it is uncomfortable. Seven companies, three of them properly supervised, one of them holding no financial licence anywhere. The British arm is real and audited and began taking clients in February 2024, with net assets of £2.3m. This is a small, young, well-priced broker with a long offshore tail.
Seven companies, and we had three of them
This page listed three entities until this research and two of them were wrong. The British company is Eightcap Group Ltd, not "Eightcap (UK) Ltd". "Eightcap Global Ltd" was filed here as a Seychelles company; Eightcap Global Limited is the Bahamas one, and the Seychelles company is a different entity with a different number. A live CySEC licence was missing altogether.
None of that was hidden. Eightcap’s own legal-documents page lists the group, and it is a longer list than the marketing suggests: Eightcap Pty Ltd under ASIC, Eightcap Group Ltd under the FCA, Eightcap EU Ltd under CySEC, Eightcap Global Limited under the Securities Commission of The Bahamas, Eightcap International Ltd in Seychelles, Eightcap International Trading in Mauritius, and CLMarkets Limited in St Vincent 4. We had simply never read it. The map on this page now matches theirs.
Publishing that list is genuinely to the broker’s credit. Plenty of groups keep the offshore companies off the site entirely and let the client agreement do the disclosing after you have deposited.
The company with no licence at all
One entry on that list is not like the others. CLMarkets Limited, registered in St Vincent and the Grenadines as 24750 IBC 2018 and trading as Eightcap International, has a company number and no financial licence 4.
That is not an oversight by anyone. St Vincent’s Financial Services Authority says in its own published notices that licensing forex business is not part of what it does, and warns that firms claim registration there as though it were regulation 3. A certificate of incorporation from a registrar of companies is the same document a corner shop gets. It is not supervision, there is no conduct rulebook behind it, and there is nobody to complain to.
So the entity map marks it with a dash instead of a tier and says "no financial licence anywhere" in words. It scores nothing. That is a change to how this site works, not just to this page: any group here that turns out to include an unlicensed company will now show it the same way.
What we do not know is who ends up as a client of it, and Eightcap does not say. Every other entity on the list has a jurisdiction you can reason about. This one is on the page because a reader is entitled to know it exists.
The British arm is small, new, and does what it says
Eightcap Group Ltd was authorised by the FCA in December 2020 and, by its own account, only started onboarding clients in late February 2024 1. Its first profitable year followed: a profit after tax of £638,355 in the period to 30 June 2025 against a loss of £107,957 the year before, and net assets up from £1.71m to £2.35m.
The stated business is "the execution of FX and CFD trading offered to retail and professional clients via an on-line trading platform", and the firm "operates as a Matched Principal broker and does not hold market risk as all trades executed by clients are automatically hedged on a back-to-back basis with our liquidity provider" 1. That is the same shape as Pepperstone’s British company and the opposite of Exness’s, which is a B2B arm.
One line in the same accounts is worth flagging rather than smoothing over. The directors’ section 172 statement describes a client base that "ranges from large institutional clients to professional clients" 1 — which is not what the principal activity says two pages earlier. It may be a drafting leftover from before onboarding started. It may not. We are not going to guess, and it is in the open questions below.
For scale: £2.3m of net assets is a small firm. Pepperstone’s British company held £26m of client money alone. Small is not unsafe — it is audited, capitalised above requirement, and honestly reported — but a reader choosing between them should know they are not the same size of thing.
What checked out, and what is still just the broker’s word
The two registers we can read ourselves both confirm. ASIC returns Eightcap Pty Ltd under AFS licence 391441, active. CySEC returns Eightcap EU Ltd under 246/14, active — the licence that was missing from this page entirely 2. The FCA reference, 921296, is corroborated by the company’s own filed accounts describing itself as FCA-regulated 1.
The Bahamas, Seychelles, Mauritius and St Vincent entries come from Eightcap’s published list and have not been read against those registers by anyone here, because we have no reader for them. The verification panel on this page says which is which, and it is not decoration: a licence number we copied from a broker’s website is a claim, and a licence number we found on a regulator’s register is a fact.
The pricing is the broker’s published figure, as with everyone here. It is genuinely competitive — the all-in cost puts it near the top of this directory at a quarter of IC Markets’ minimum deposit, which is the reason it ranks where it does.

How we scoreWhat Eightcap is
Eightcap has been trading since 2009, which is 17 years, and runs from Australia. It holds 7 licensed entities across ASIC, FCA, CySEC, SCB-BS, FSA-SC, FSC-MU and FSA-SVG — which is not the same thing as being one company.
On this site it ranks 2nd of 10 brokers. That puts it in the upper third of what we cover, on published weights rather than on an opinion. The weights are on the methodology page and nothing paid for the position.
Who regulates Eightcap
Eightcap Pty Ltd, incorporated in Australia, holds ASIC licence 391441 (authorised) and onboards clients in Australia. Eightcap Group Ltd, incorporated in United Kingdom, holds FCA licence 921296 (authorised) and onboards clients in United Kingdom. Eightcap EU Ltd, incorporated in Cyprus, holds CySEC licence 246/14 (authorised) and onboards clients in Cyprus, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Netherlands. Eightcap Global Limited, incorporated in The Bahamas, holds SCB-BS licence SIA-F220 (authorised) and takes everyone else. Eightcap International Ltd, incorporated in Seychelles, holds FSA-SC licence SD100 (registered) and names no country it onboards. Eightcap International Trading, incorporated in Mauritius, holds FSC-MU licence GB25204603 (registered) and names no country it onboards. CLMarkets Limited, trading as Eightcap International, incorporated in St Vincent & the Grenadines, holds FSA-SVG licence 24750 IBC 2018 (unregulated) and names no country it onboards.
3 of those are tier-A regulators — a public register you can search and a statutory compensation scheme behind each: FCA’s FSCS up to £85,000 and CySEC’s ICF up to €20,000.
The entity that matters most to a reader outside Australia, United Kingdom, Cyprus and Germany is Eightcap Global Limited: it is the fallback, regulated by SCB-BS, which is not a tier-A regulator. Where you live decides which company you sign with, and that decides what protection you have — the entity map on this page says which is which.
What trading Eightcap costs
Eightcap publishes a typical EUR/USD spread of 0.2 pips and charges $7 per standard lot round turn, which is about 0.70 pips on a standard lot. All in, a round turn costs about 0.90 pips.
The median across the 10 brokers ranked here is 0.90 pips, so this is the 5th-cheapest of them and below the median. A published spread is a typical spread: it widens on news and around the session close, and no broker publishes that number.
A swap-free account is available, which matters if overnight interest is not something you can take.
Deposits and withdrawals
You can fund an account by bank transfer, debit and credit card, crypto and e-wallets. The stated minimum is $100, which is lower than 1 of the other 9 brokers here.
Eightcap states that withdrawals are processed in about 24 hours. That is the broker's own figure and this site has not measured it. Processing time is also not arrival time: the payment rail adds its own, and a card refund is slower than the broker's end of it.
Platforms and execution
Eightcap offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, a web terminal and a mobile app, and has copy trading built in.
Orders are filled on ECN execution, which routes orders to a pool of liquidity providers rather than filling them in-house. Leverage goes to 1:500, which is inside what a tier-A regulator permits a retail client.
What Eightcap says about itself
Eightcap publishes which entity serves which country and that client money is held separately from its own.
It does not publish audited accounts and who owns it. That is not evidence of anything on its own — plenty of sound companies are private — and it is the difference between a claim you can check and one you have to take on trust.
Where Eightcap is strong, and where it is not
Its best component is regulation & licensing, at 10.0 out of 10. Its weakest is corporate transparency, at 5.0. Those two are what the score is mostly made of, and a reader for whom corporate transparency is the deciding factor should read that row of the breakdown rather than the total.
The short version: a tier-A licence and a below-median cost, which is the combination most readers are looking for.
What this review has not checked
No editor has verified the costs and the funding terms on this record against Eightcap's own pages. Everything above is read from what the company publishes, and this site says so rather than implying otherwise.
This page is generated from the record above it, so it cannot drift from it: correct a field and the paragraph changes with it. What it will never contain is an opinion about a support team, a platform's feel, or how a withdrawal went — those need people, and when this site has enough verified reviews to say something about them it will say it in the reviews section, with the count attached.
Written from the record on this page, not about it. Every sentence above is a reading of a field you can see here, so a correction to the data corrects the text the same day.
